A 42-year-old man, who was wanted on dozens of charges of possessing child pornography, was arrested in Toronto this week.
Police in Toronto, who made the announcement Wednesday, said the charges allege that John Harvey Wickart, a US citizen who lives in Toronto, was making child pornography available online.
Michael Lavery, an attorney representing Wickart, told the Toronto Star that his client has entered not guilty pleas to the charges of possession and making child pornography available, as well as two charges of making child pornography available. Wickart was granted bail on Thursday and must be followed by a probation officer, who must wear a GPS monitor to ensure his whereabouts.
Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who created and distributed videos depicting children being sexually assaulted.
